Home Articles of Faith Directions Doctrines of Grace History of Tuttle Church Links | 1. All men by nature
are sinners in the sight of God. They inherited their sinful nature from
the first man Adam. They are dead in trespasses and sins. While in this
condition, they cannot please God. There is nothing in them that would
cause them to approach God, and if it were not for the love and mercy of
God, they would be forever and eternally lost.

2. Before the world began, God chose or elected, out of this lost and dying race of Adam, a great and innumerable multitude {out of every kindred, tongue, people, and nation} to live with Him in Heaven. This choice {ELECTION}, which resulted in their eternal salvation, was not based on their works or their freewill, but was based upon the conditions of the Everlasting Covenant which was made with the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit before the foundation of the world. This Covenant embraced the work of the Son of God, who at the appointed time of the Father, was made flesh, died for the sins of all that was given to Him by the Father. { These are referred to in scripture as Elect, Beloved, Sheep, Children of Promise, Saints, Sons, Brethren, and the Sanctified.} SCRIPTURAL PROOF: ( Matthew 1:21; John 6:37-47; Ephesians 1:1-11; Romans 8:28-39;

3. The atonement for sin by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, {theEternal Son of God made flesh} was shed for the elect only. { those that were chosen by the Father and give to the Son} Every single one of these for whom Christ Jesus died will receive eternal life and shall live with Him in the Eternal Heaven after this life is ended. SCRIPTURAL PROOF: ( Matthew 1:21; Hebrews 2:13-18; 1 Peter 1:18-21; 1 Peter 3:18;
Hebrews 10:1-18; Romans 8:32-35)
4. All those who were elected by the Father and redeemed by the Son shall be drawn to God by the Holy Spirit. {This is referred to in scripture as: a quickening; being born again; circumcision of the heart; a translation; hearing the voice of the Son of God; a resurrection; baptism of the Holy Spirit; and regeneration.} Nothing shall hinder God from carrying out His eternal purpose, which is to save all of the objects of His love. SCRIPTURAL PROOF: ( Psalms 110:3; Psalms 115:1-3; Daniel 4:34-35; John 6:37; John
